  1. Lynne,

Great graphic organizer!! I like the addition of the hand held game system, I had not thought about that one!! My daughter loves her Leapfrog hand held game and it teaches some great skills!

  2. Lynne,
I really enjoyed looking at your graphic organizer. It really showcases how abundant the choices of technology are in today's classroom! I really feel like I will be able to add some great new ideas to my lessons this year based on all of the new things that people are pointing out to me in this class!

  4. Lynne,

You have quite a few technology “tools” in your graphic. Your write up was succinct. I am curious about the big push for cell phone usage. Personally, I agree, they should be used in education.

But, speaking as a teacher from a district that is going into its second year without a contract, how would you address the issue of who is going to pay for the teacher’s text messaging plans? (Believe me it will come up in contract negotiations.) A teacher who doesn’t want to pay for a plan would be in their rights not to but that would disadvantage any of their students if other teachers are paying for their own plans. It’s not something that can just be glossed over. I realize that most plans are like $10/month unlimited text messaging, but we all know teachers who would balk and fight at the idea of spending $100/year out of their own pockets so that their students can text message them.
